CURRENT EVENTS THROUGH ZOOM

COURSE NUMBER 9600

Minimum number of students required 6, maximum 12

During the quarter we will engage in discussions on current events based on  topics or publications regarding politics, economy, sociology and various aspects of French culture. Students will be given a great many opportunities to debate and extensively use their language skills.The class will be conducted solely in French. FLUENCY OR NEAR FLUENCY REQUIRED

Class Schedule:

Tuesdays : 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM from 01/26/21 to 03/16/21

Fridays: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM from 01/29/21 to 03/19/21

Tuesdays: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM from 01/26/21 to 03/16/21

FEES: $140 for 8 sessions of 2 hours

REGISTRATION REQUIRED: once registered , the student will receive the Zoom invite for the class.  Fees must be paid in full for the class upon registration ( prorating is not available)

FRENCH GRAMMAR TUNE UP TROUGH ZOOM

COURSE NUMBER: 9601

minimum number of students required 6, maximum 10

This course will focus on the review of grammar rules from French level 1 to 4. Before each class, the students will be given a particular grammar point to brush up on for the following session. After the explanation of the specific rules, each student will be asked  to come up with concrete examples to illustrate that particular point and  to contribute to the corrections of the given examples. This class is suitable for Intermediate students .

Class Schedule:

Wednesdays: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM from 01/27/21 to 03/02/21

FEES: $140 for six sessions of 2 hours

REGISTRATION REQUIRED: once registered the students will receive a Zoom invite for the class.  Fees must be paid in full for the course upon registration ( prorating will not be available)

INTERMEDIATE FRENCH

COURSE NUMBER: 9602

minimum number of students required 6, maximum 12

This class is suitable for students of intermediate level who would like to practice their conversational skills. During the course of this class, we will talk about topics pertaining to French culture, the arts, the food, the mentalities, the traditions and specialties in the various regions, cinema and songs.

Class Schedule:

Thursdays: from 9:00 to 11:00 from 02/11/21 to 04/01/21

FEES: $140 for 7 sessions of 2 hours

REGISTRATION REQUIRED: once registered the students will receive a zoom invite for the class.  Fees must be paid in full upon registration ( prorating is not available)

FRENCH LITERATURE/ BOOK CLUB

COURSE NUMBER: 9603

minimum number of students 5, maximum 9

Each course, a book will be chosen among the most recent publications of French literature. During the course of 6 sessions, we will analyze this work, its style , talk about its various themes and aspects, symbols and meaning. We will explore the lives of the characters. ADVANCED LEVEL REQUIRED. Native speakers welcome

Class Schedule:

Fridays: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM from 02/26/21 to 04/02/21

Fees: $140 for 6 sessions of 2 hours

REGISTRATION REQUIRED: once registered, the students will receive a Zoom invite for the class.  Fees must be paid in full for the class upon registration.  Prorating will not be available.

Refund will ONLY be available for emergency reasons.

FRENCH TUTORING CLASSES AVAILABLE - ALL LEVELS

minimum number of sessions: 4

FREQUENCY: UPON REQUEST: daily, weekly, bi weekly, monthly

Length of sessions: from 1 hour to 2 hours 30 minutes depending on age of students and goal.

Fees per hour: $50

REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Students will register for 4 classes at a time. Tuition due at registration.  Once registered, students will be sent an invite for 4 sessions at a time through a Zoom invite.
